Empowering Yourself: How To Battle FEAR and Knock It Straight On It’s Ass

empowering yourself

Empowering yourself to eliminate fear out of your mind to move forward in life

What’s really going on with this world?

Wars, drugs, public shootings, sick minded adults psychologically damaging young children’s minds, etc…

It’s sick…

Is it something new? Something we haven’t seen before?

Or…has technology created a huge window for us to look into and see what’s been happening all along?

I got to be honest…I’m one of those people who actually avoid watching the news everyday.

It has become nothing more than a tool that promotes FEAR and a sense of hopelessness into peoples hearts and minds.

…and I don’t think it’s on accident either, but that’s another blog post.

if you let it be…

It can paralyze you, it can cause you to procrastinate on making a change for the better in your life, it can keep you from doing the right thing instead of doing some random dumb shit that you’ll end up regretting later.

Do you remember when you were young and you watched some horror movie and later on that night you could not bring yourself to turn out your bedroom light when it was time for bed?

When you went to an amusement park with your friends and it was a life or death situation to get on the biggest, baddest roller-coaster in the park?

When you really liked some girl at your school, but you couldn’t build up courage to ask her out?

These are small, yet real life examples of what stops people from growing in all walks of life.

But the best part about this is that it can change whenever you decide you want it to.

Sure you can’t change things that happen around you, but you CAN channel your “inner power” (ninja style) and decide whether or not you will let it stop you dead in your tracks.

Here’s what to do when you feel like fear is going to rear it’s ugly head:

1. Only pay attention to the standards that YOU place on yourself, not what you think other people’s standards are for you.

The reality is that there are people in this world who can be twisted and need for you to doubt yourself in order to bring you down to their level.

2. Find strong social support.

Place yourself around others that like to encourage and uplift, not those who like to wear and tear you down. The idea here is to create belief in yourself and maintain it.

3. Take the one thing that scares you the most and knock it flat on it’s ass (donkey).Innocent

Seriously…whether it’s a fear of heights, creating your first YouTube video for your blog, fear of riding a motorcycle, fear of going to the gym and busting a sweat in front of people, etc.

You will literally empower yourself and soon enough you’ll be wondering what was all the fuss really about?

I shot a video today and sure I was stumbling and messing up my words a little bit…

But hey…guess what? It’s “imperfectly” ok because it’s a REAL, unscripted look into what was on my mind today.

and that’s really what matters…

To giving FEAR the finger (not the middle one…ok yes…the middle one),
