Using Email To Keep People Interested On Autopilot

If you’re on this page but haven’t done Steps 1 and 2, go here to start from the beginning of building your automated income system.

Is using email to keep people interested on autopilot possible?

As you begin to post on your blog like you’re supposed to, you will notice that your traffic will begin to gradually grow.

There will be some visitors that immediately click off your site, which is ok because you’re only looking for people who are interested in what you have to offer right?

Then there is the other group of people that will follow you, get to know you, and learn to trust you.

That’s a good thing because those are the people that you are looking to build your list with.

*Always remember – the money is in the list.*

I say this because as people begin trusting you, they will be more likely to take you up on your offers.

So if you have a list of people that will buy from you once, chances are they’ll buy from you time and time again.

The question is, how do you get people to keep coming back to all of your great content?

Easy…you collect their emails…

…but you do it in a way that a person actually WANTS to give you their email information.

You lead with VALUE…show people that you’re not some desperate cheesy salesman and that you actually know some shit.

Most of the time people will want to stay in contact with you if they feel like you’re the one that can solve their problem.

Ya know, remove whatever it is that is causing them “pain”.

This is where you’ll begin using email to keep people interested…on autopilot.

Say Hello To Aweber

AWeber

Before we start with Aweber, let me say that collecting an email doesn’t mean that you get to beat that person over the head with spam.

If you do, they’ll quickly unsubscribe and your list will shrink instead of grow.

Ok, if you have not heard of Aweber, it is an email autoresponder that will send out a series of emails on autopilot.

It’s like a slow, steady drip over time of value added content that will help you build a relationship with your list.

Let’s face it, most people won’t buy something the first time that they are exposed to it.  It is said that people need at least 7 exposures before they make a decision to make a purchase.

Imagine that someone came to your site and liked what they saw, but for a moment got distracted by Facebook, Youtube, etc.

Wouldn’t it be cool if they gave you their email before they left?

What if they actually looked forward to hearing from you?

Better yet, what if they actually looked forward to buying from you because they knew that your offer would solve their problem?

This is the type of response that you’re looking for and that you want to build up to.

How To Create An Aweber Form And Place It On Your Soon To Be Money Making Blog

There are 3 simple steps to placing a form on your blog so your visitors can give you their info and you can keep ’em coming back for more.

Before we get started you need to make sure you sign up for an Aweber account.

You can do that by clicking here on my partner link.  It’s only $1 dollar for a 30-day trial, so you’ll have time to decide if it works for you or not.

After you sign up for your account you’ll need to create a list, so click on Create and Manage Lists in your Aweber back office:

Create an Aweber list

Then click on this green Create A List button as well:

Create an Aweber list

Next you will have to come up with a list name, list description, from (your name), an email, and a physical address.  Pick a name that works best for you.  Aweber normally doesn’t like when you use free email addresses (yahoo, gmail), so you will have to use a different one.

You may want to check and see if you got a free email when you purchased your GoDaddy domain name.

In the Notifications area, you’ll need to add an email so you can receive a notification when you get a new subscriber.  However, for this one you can use a free email like Yahoo or Gmail.

On Step 2 you’ll need to personalize your list.  You will need to type in your Company Name, Website url, and Email Signature.

If you don’t have a company name, you can just put your own name in (Ex. Your Name Inc.).  Your website url should be the one you just created (http://www.yoursite.com).  For your email signature you can put something like, “To Your Success”, “To Creating A Life of Freedom”, etc.  It really depends on what niche your money site is aimed towards.

For right now, this social media / sharing section can be ignored.  This will come when you begin to create posts for your money site and want to broadcast them to your list or to your Facebook and Twitter pages.

I actually made a how-to article about Aweber broadcasting here.

Next we will setup your confirmation message for your list.  It’s basically when someone joins your email list and you send them an email telling them to confirm their subscription.  You can edit the subject, the intro, and the signature to your liking.  If you’re not comfortable doing that yet, feel free to leave it as is.

You can actually turn the subscription confirmation option off, but for right now I wouldn’t mess with it.  With it on, your subscribers are required to confirm that they want to be on your list.  With it off, your subscribers will be placed on your list immediately after opting in.

The Success Page option is meant for directing your subscribers to a specific page after they confirm their subscription.  You can lead them back to a post on your money site, send them to a Facebook Group url, or just leave it blank.

Now that you have your list setup, we can now build a webform and place it on your money site.  I decided to mix it up a little bit and do a video for these 3 steps below:

Change the video settings to 720 or 1080p for a clearer videoSmile

A little technical, but if you followed the video step by step, you should have your form ready to capture leads on your money site.

This should pretty much cover the whole process of creating your automated income system.

If you have any other questions, you can let me know here.
